Libraries

Besides the weather, perhaps the thing I dislike most about D.C. is its decripit library system. The central library is both ugly and has a poor selection of books while many of the branch libraries seem to be quite literally falling apart. And yet we have money for a new baseball stadium, but I digress.

Well, looks like help is on the way. Not only is my local Georgetown branch getting a cool $2.5 million for renovations, but plans have been announced for four other branches to be entirely rebuilt. Drawings of the proposed branches have been posted and they look impressive.
