Although the country's construction boom is fascinating to me, I am inherently skeptical about the prospects for success of such centrally-planned growth. The strange names also give me pause -- Commerce City, Healthcare City, Internet City, etc. Granted, Dubai is not to be confused with the Soviet Union, but it just doesn't sit quite right with me, especially considering the lack of political freedom in the country.
