So last night Cindy Sheehan, in her continuing quest to somehow remain relevant, managed to get herself arrested at the Capitol prior to the State of the Union address. My first thought upon hearing this was to wonder how she got herself in the place. Turns out she was the invited guest of Rep. Lynn Woolsey, a California Democrat.
Now, about Sheehan, let's review:
* She has referred to jihadis in Iraq as "freedom fighters."
* In the wake of Hurricane Katrina she made reference to "occupied" New Orleans.
* She is recently back from Venezuela where she met with Hugo Chavez, one of the hemisphere's worst leaders and a close friend of Fidel Castro. She also used the occasion to call George W. Bush a "terrorist."
* Her venom isn't only directed at Bush. She said that Bill Clinton is responsible for even more deaths than the Chimperor.
And this got her an invite from a Democratic member of the House of Representatives. I'm sure Karl Rove couldn't be happier.
