Islamic values

So I started making a list of things that seemed to get Muslims riled up and things deemed unremarkable. Here's what I've come up with so far:

Worthy of protest and/or killing someone over:

* Cartoons
* Books
* Headscarves
* Movies
* Israel's existence

Things unworthy of protest/blamed on the Jews:

* Saddam's slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Muslims
* Hama
* Sept. 11
* Widespread repression throughout the Arab world
* Suicide attacks against Muslims in Iraq
* Lack of women's rights
* Slaughter of schoolchildren

Things mostly unacknowledged/ignored:

* U.S. humanitarian aid to Muslims in Somalia
* U.S. humanitarian aid to Muslims in post-earthquake Pakistan
* U.S. humanitarian aid to Muslims in post-tsunami SE Asia

* U.S. military intervention to halt slaughter of Muslims in former Yugoslavia

* Rights/prosperity enjoyted by millions of Muslims who live in the U.S.
* Arab citizens of Israel are treated far better by the Israeli government than most Arabs by Arab governments
