I was going to use the occasion of the latest goings on in Cuba to write about the stupidity of sanctions on that country and their utter failure, but then I saw that Jacob Weisberg beat me to it. He makes the great point that not only to sanctions fail to bring about their desired result, they're actually counter-productive.
