My ipod battery was giving me issues -- basically I could only get around 45 mins. of juice -- so I ordered a replacement the other day. With shipping it cost me $21 or so. Took 10 minutes to replace with the tool that was included. Apple, meanwhile, will do it for you for a cool $70 and you have to mail it away.
Why was the replacement so cheap? My guess is the fact that it was made in China has something to do with it. Which makes me wonder why people are so scared of cheap Chinese imports -- isn't that a good thing? Who likes paying more for stuff?
You can make a similar point about Wal-Mart, the organization that, judging by the rhetoric of the left, appears to rival Al Qaeda as a danger to the American public.
