Hillary and Iraq

I actually don't have the visceral reaction to Hillary Clinton that a lot of people on the right have. However, given her recent form I think that she is going to provide a lot of fodder for this blog:
“I think it’s the height of irresponsibility and I really resent it — this was his decision to go to war, he went with an ill-conceived plan, an incompetently executed strategy, and we should expect him to extricate our country from this before he leaves office,” the senator said this morning.
You know, I would have thought that the height of irresponsibility would be to decide to base military strategy on artificial U.S. political timelines instead of, say, the facts on the ground. Perhaps we should withdraw U.S. troops for Iraq, but we should not do so simply because George W. Bush is scheduled to leave office on Jan. 20, 2009.
