Greenland

Learned something new today in the New York Times:
When using the words “growing” in connection with Greenland in the same sentence, it is important to remember that although Greenland is the size of Europe, it has only nine conifer forests like Mr. Bjerge’s, all of them cultivated.
Greenland the size of Europe? Doesn't pass the common sense test. Went and looked it up on wikipedia -- Greenland is 836,109 sq miles. Europe? 3,930,000 sq miles -- over 4 times larger.

Update: Gracious response from the article's author:
Thanks so much for your note, and you are absolutely right. I'm really embarrassed to make such a silly mistake, and we're running a correction.

All the best,

Sarah Lyall
