Obama on economics

Barack Obama is so reflexively liberal that he both opposes a free-trade agreement with Colombia even though the U.S. is the prime beneficiary (U.S. goods see their tariff levels reduced while current low tariffs on Colombian goods are simply made permanent) and wants to increase the capital gains tax even though they are associated with lower revenue. Essentially he is kowtowing to unions on the trade front and engaging in the politics of class warfare and envy on capital gains, since revenue is apparently not a consideration.

This is change? This is the politics of hope?
