Many people have seen this picture of the earth at night in which North Korea is conspicuous by its absence. Today, however, at the National Museum of Natural History I found this daylight photo (click to enlarge) of the Korean peninsula, in which the borders of North Korea can be delineated by its brown color and the lack of green -- in sharp contrast to South Korea. Seems to me that capitalism isn't just good for people, it's good for the environment too!
