First class not good enough

So it turns out that the Big Three CEOs who flew to DC this week to beg for taxpayer cash did so on private jets. As the story notes:
Wagoner's private jet trip to Washington cost his ailing company an estimated $20,000 roundtrip. In comparison, seats on Northwest Airlines flight 2364 from Detroit to Washington were going online for $288 coach and $837 first class.
To borrow a phrase, I'll start believing the U.S. auto industry is in a crisis when the people who say it's a crisis start acting like it's a crisis.

It's also still an endless source of amusement to me watching Democrats go to bat for these guys while Republicans -- you know, the party of the rich and big business -- seem to be largely content with letting them fail.
