So it turns out that the Big Three CEOs who flew to DC this week to beg for taxpayer cash did so on private jets. As the story notes:
Wagoner's private jet trip to Washington cost his ailing company an estimated $20,000 roundtrip. In comparison, seats on Northwest Airlines flight 2364 from Detroit to Washington were going online for $288 coach and $837 first class.
To borrow a phrase, I'll start believing the U.S. auto industry is in a crisis when the people who say it's a crisis start acting like it's a crisis.
It's also still an endless source of amusement to me watching Democrats go to bat for these guys while Republicans -- you know, the party of the rich and big business -- seem to be largely content with letting them fail.
