Somewhat apropos of my recent post on government licensing check out this story about a doctor that was actually forced to raise his fees out of concern that he was operating as an unlicensed insurance carrier. While it is perhaps tempting to giggle about such government interference and incompetence it is sobering to think of the real life consequences that such moves have.
