Goolsbee vs Obama

Greg Mankiw points out that Obama's call for increased government spending on basic research and development goes against the recommendations of Austan Goolsbee, one of his top economic advisers. This, of course, isn't the first time that Obama has called for policies that contradict the research findings of his own staff.
