Sweatshops

Although you don't hear so much about them now, for years leftists have complained about "sweatshops" and the abuse of workers at such factories. The obvious question, of course, was why people chose to work at such places if they were so terrible. Here's the reason:


This is a picture of workers engaged in sulfur mining in Indonesia. The pay is about $5 per day. Given the choice between this or making $2/hour making Nikes I certainly know which option I'd go with.
