Wal-Mart supports the idea of a government mandate for businesses to provide their employees with health insurance. Why? It would hurt Target.

Such measures, including minimum wage hikes, are often passed with the idea that it will help the little guy (in this instance employees). But the result is that it often simply helps the established players.

The best way to keep big business in check is through the fierce competition of the marketplace.
