Some items that caught my eye today:
- In a story entitled "Economic Vandalism", The Economist calls President Obama's decision to impose tariffs on imports of Chinese tires "bad politics, bad economics, bad diplomacy and hurts America." About sums it up.
- Chris Edwards takes a closer look at Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell and some of his ideas on jobs and energy. Really, this stuff doesn't make any more sense coming from Republicans than Democrats.
- The cost of cap and trade for families: over $1,700.
- Arnold Kling on health care reform lies.
- Peter Suderman on the practice of health care insurance rescission. The more I think about this, it's really just part and parcel of insurance. If health care companies didn't do this, which is part of fraud prevention, they'd be opening themselves up to big losses. All the more reason to reduce the role played by insurance in health care.
