hey, didn't Bush exclude the budgets for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq in his overall budget, whereas Obama did?
Yes, but deficit figures include total spending from what I understand.
but...seems like the majority of the budget is due to SS and Medicare costs - which Obama didn't cause, but is trying (in some peoples' opinions) to manage - plus the Iraq and Afghanistan war, which Bush started. Plus the Medicare prescription benefit that Bush/GOP rammed through.
Where are the shocking new entitlements or programs that Obama is proposing that's blowing up the deficit?
