Health care round up

  • Twenty-two years ago the federal government started tracking health care professionals that have been disciplined by state licensing boards. Only problem: hospitals and nursing homes can't access the database when they hire staff!
  • In other news, doctors hate competition and are being forced to improve their service in the wake of retail health clinics. The free market works, maybe we should try more of it.
  • Something else doctors don't like: Medicare. A list of everything wrong with the program.*
  • More evidence of why Obama's contention that the other side of the aisle has no ideas on health care just isn't true. This strawman has got to go.*
* Big hat-tip to the Club for Growth for these links.
