"To get rich is glorious." -- Deng Xiaoping. This is perhaps the smartest thing ever uttered by a member of the Communist Party.

Health care round up
While much of the health care talk in this country centers on the use of a "public option", the Los Angeles Times says many Canadians would like to move towards a private option.
Michael F. Cannon and Ramesh Ponnuru respond to President Obama's health care rhetoric with "You mislead!"
Apparently under proposed legislation those who refuse to purchase health care insurance could be punished with up to a year in jail.
The New York Times reports some politicians are seeking amendments to their state constitutions to prohibit the mandatory purchase of insurance.
The Washington Posthas a story on why excess health care is as problematic as fears over rationing. Not sure the two are equivalent problems, but over-consumption of health care due to the use of insurance and fears over lawsuits is certainly a flaw in the current system.
