Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that Americans won every single Nobel prize with the exception of literature (and an Israeli co-shared the chemistry prize)? Aside from the political nature of the peace prize, it's a remarkable testament to the ability of the U.S. to both attract and foster leaders in the sciences.
I want to stress that this isn't mindless jingoism here, it's simply a tribute to the power of a system which prizes and cherishes freedom and individual liberty.
