Happy Veteran's Day.
  • The Boston Globe details more shady accounting with stimulus numbers. But I'm sure they'll get health care right.
  • John Stossel points out that both New York and California would be running big budget surpluses if spending increases over the last 10 years had simply been limited to the rate of inflation plus population growth.
  • Socialism at work: blackouts plague energy-rich Venezuela. Reminds me of an East German joke: What would happen if the desert became communist? Nothing for a while, and then there would be a sand shortage.
  • U.S. unemployment is now higher than the European average. Ugh.
