Health care round up

  • A new report from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says last week's health care bill passed by the House of Representatives would increase costs by $289 billion.
  • Current federal health care legislation, which hasn't even been enacted, is being cited by The New York Times as a key factor in the decision by drug manufacturers to raise prices. Hope and change!
  • Robert Samuelson says ObamaCare has an "air of absurdity" about it, and explains why it will result in cost increases rather than cost control.
