Up, up and away.
  • After spending more money in 9 months than Bill Clinton did in 8 years, the Obama Administration now says it's going to focus on deficits. In other news the federal deficit for October was the highest ever, exceeding predictions by $26 billion.
  • A new audit finds considerable problems in federal housing programs, including things like payments to people who are dead. But I'm sure a government-run public option health insurance program will be completely different.
  • The Obama Administration is set to hold a "jobs summit". Coyote Blog says actions by the Obama Administration are a big reason why his company and others aren't hiring. Also note this bit in the comments section.
  • The jobs boom in India is being extended to its rural areas. Capitalism marches on.
  • Eric Belsky on the unhealthy home ownership obsession. This is in large part a result of government policy.
