Sen. Barbara Boxer gives thanks

Politico asks various Washington personalities what they are thankful for this year. This is Sen. Barbara Boxer's answer (at around 1:15 on the video):
My family. You know, the fact that I'm in the Senate at a time when we deal with so many important issues -- very thankful for that. I'm thankful that I'm chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee which deals with so many important issues that protect our families from pollution and that create jobs in the transportation area and infrastructure. I'm very grateful for a lot of things.
Boxer is grateful for her family, but what she's really grateful for -- what truly animates her -- is being a U.S. Senator with a chairmanship. (But we already knew that) She's also laboring under the delusion that she somehow creates jobs, when -- at best -- they are merely transferred from one sector to another after first confiscating tax revenue, which costs jobs.

America, this is your political class.
