Apparently it isn't just D.C. which is suffering from the acute effects of global warming. A Dutch friend of mine texted me yesterday to say they had so much snow in Amsterdam that a scheduled flight of his to Morocco might be canceled. Here's a picture from De Volkskrant:
According to this story, meanwhile, northern France "has seen its worst winter weather in years." There's even snow in the south of France:
And let's not forget the snowstorm which struck during the Copenhagen climate change summit:
But at least some good has come of all this snow -- the federal government is shut down today.
