Quote of the day

Sen. Harry Reid on the Senate's vote to pass health care reform:

"We're going to hear an earful, but it's going to be an earful of wonderment and happiness that people waited for for a long time."

In spite of polls to the contrary, I suspect Reid genuinely believes this. He thinks that the voters don't really know what is good for them, but once they behold the wonder of increased government intervention in health care they will come around. I also suspect Reid is serving his last term in the Senate.
