Chart of the day

Yikes. Probably an appropriate place to highlight this little factoid:
Medicare, similarly, was optimistically projected in 1967 to have an annual price tag of $12 billion by 1990. The actual 1990 cost? $98 billion.
The government created Medicare and health care costs exploded. Now the Obama Administration is citing these surging costs as a justification for granting the government even more control over health care. I don't think so.
