I am going to rain on the Boettke parade and say that there is a bit of a problem with putting this particular person on a pedestal representing Austrian Economics.
If you know the history you ought to concur that the hierarchy of Austrian Economics is actually dominated by Mises and Rothbard, which flies in the face of what the WSJ article is saying.
Although Hayek did play a role in popularizing it with speakers of the English language, he does not represent the peak of Austrian Economics and pretending he does is a red herring.
If you want real Austrian Economics, take a peek at mises.org or lewrockwell.com, not at this guy who doesn't even want to be associated with the word "Austrian".
Actually, just do a Google search and see who's at the top. This should prove the point.
