Recommended reading

• A new GAO report has found that Medicare lost $48 billion in fraudulent and improper payments in fiscal year 2010, which works out to four times the amount that the top 10 health insurance companies made in profit. Clearly the government needs to be given more authority in the health care arena.

• Oh, and that's not the only GAO report that has been making waves this week. Anyone surprised by either one should do the rest of us a favor and burn their voter registration card.
