  • The thing about middle class stagnation is that it's just not true, as James Pethokoukis explains. Also give a listen if you have the time to this podcast with the author of the study cited by Pethokoukis. A bit dense at times, but quite interesting.
  • Avik Roy exposes the myth of Americans' poor life expectancy.
  • Megan McArdle has a great article on taxis and the surrounding regulatory morass; fortunately capitalism is trying to overcome this. Previous taxi-blogging here, here and here.
  • David Henderson on the virtues of private property. Basically it makes for a more harmonious society, in contrast to government which promotes division and conflict.
  • David Boaz has a couple of charts that place the proposed Buffet rule in perspective.
