Recommended viewing/reading



  • Tino Sanandaji takes aim at President Obama's recent comments regarding the job situation in the private and public sectors, while Nick Gillespie looks at the strength of the recovery. 
  • Anders Aslund, a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, highlights a dirty little secret: rather than the socialist utopia it is commonly portrayed as, Sweden has actually been steadily moving towards free markets.
  • Don Boudreaux, meanwhile, notes some further Krugman nonsense about government spending. 
  • Progress in the fight against inequality: we've now got fewer rich people. Somehow this doesn't feel like much of a win. 
  • California: still a miserable place to do business. Of course, given that the left has the run of the place that's pretty unsurprising.
