Competition

First we had mapquest, which was OK. Then there was google maps -- a nice improvement. Now -- Live Local. Wow (just wish you could drag it like google maps). Compare all three for maps of my neighborhood.

Capitalism never ceases to astound me. The way it spurs people to make products and services that others want -- not out of altruism, but their own self-interest -- is phenomenal. As Adam Smith said:
