Iraq

Iraq, clearly, is a mess. Scores are being killed daily. The government seems powerless to halt the violence. I don't know if has now become a lost cause, but a question that has been crossing my mind lately is whether it was a doomed enterprise from the beginning or whether we find ourselves at this juncture because of bungling in carrying the operation out.
