Via the Club for Growth I saw this story about the media and people's perception of the economy. It's really strange to me why people have such a dour view of the current economy with consistent job growth, a declining fiscal deficit and unemployment under 5%, while the same situation in the 1990s was met with near euphoria.

Dude, they have a dour view because they're told over and over again that they're going to lose their house!! The sub-prime mess has clouded EVERYONE's judgement.
