Quick hits

  • Tech CEOs say that if President Obama proceeds with his plans for changing the way overseas profits are taxed that they will likely send more U.S.-based jobs overseas.
  • Barney Frank apparently missed the memo that the government will take a hands-off approach to managing GM, intervening to preserve jobs at a parts distribution plant in his district.
  • The number of "czars" appointed by the Obama Administration has now apparently risen to nineteen with the appointment of a "pay czar". Update: Heard on the radio that the number of czars is actually 21.
