Perhaps the most valuable class I ever took in college was a course on international economics. The class really improved my understanding of topics such as tariffs, comparative advantage and the role played by interest groups such as the sugar lobby in formulating policy. The professor made the class extremely interesting and I regarded him as one of my favorites, later asking him to write a recommendation for me for an internship I was applying for.
This morning I noticed that he is now working at the Heritage Foundation.
